CARE CENTRE
On a typical mission, a team of about 35 credentialed medical professionals (surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, pediatricians, dentists and others) from around Asia and the world travel to a partner country to treat children over a period of one week.
It sees us transformation about 100 lives through safe and effective surgery, cross training of medical volunteers, together with raising awareness of the impact that facial disfigurement can have both on the individual and their family unit.
Our teams are organized with both in-country and international volunteers and include interpreters, mission coordinators, student leaders etc. Along with our volunteers, our missions arrange for the delivery of medical equipment, medication and supplies that meet our Standards of Care.
We have developed a highly efficient process for screening and treating hundreds of children within each mission at the highest standard of care we can deliver.
