THE SMILE MISSION LTD

The Smile Mission Ltd is the International Secretariat of Smile Asia. It is a Singapore-registered charity and adheres to local regulatory requirements. It aims to instil a sense of volunteerism among Singapore residents, and create overseas volunteering opportunities.

The affiliation to Smile Asia helps The Smile Mission Ltd to further its own objectives with greater ease. The approach, vision, mission and programme structure of Smile Asia is the same as The Smile Mission Ltd.

A/Prof (Dr) Vincent Yeow

A/Prof (Dr) Vincent Yeow is Managing Partner of Dream International Holdings. He is also a Visiting Consultant at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Singapore where he had headed the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Centre and Cleft and Craniofacial Centre from 2004 to 2014. He was the President of the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons. Dr Yeow has personally volunteered and led more than 30 surgical missions across various countries since 1995. Dr Yeow is the founder of Smile Asia and currently Chairman (Joint) of the alliance.

Dr Josephine Tan

Dr Josephine Tan is a Senior Consultant at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and headed the Department of Paediatric Anaesthesia from 2006 to 2015. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from National University of Singapore in 1988 and became a specialist in Anaesthesiology following training in Singapore and Canada. Dr Tan supervises the management of medical supplies and equipment for our medical missions. She also sits in the Medical Advisory Council in Smile Asia.

Paul Wilden

Paul Wilden is Global Head of Capital Markets at Apex Group and currently working from United Kingdom. Paul relocated there in early 2019 after spending 14 years in Singapore. He was previously responsible for the Global Corporate Agency & Trust (CAT) business at Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore. Paul also chaired the bank’s Philippines Trust Committee and has held a variety of Trustee Directorships for the bank in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. He is actively involved in the industry and participates in several industry forums.

Kong Ho Loon

From his base in Singapore, Mr Kong provides regional strategic direction, leadership and oversight of the Compliance function for Global Banking and Markets & Treasury at Scotiabank. He has more than 26 years of regulatory and compliance experience across Asia Pacific markets, with a track record in leading large compliance teams and managing regulatory risks across multiple business lines. In 2013, Mr Kong attended the Stanford University/NUS Executive Program in International Management. He also has an MBA from the Alliance Manchester Business School. Mr Kong is passionate about giving back to society in whatever way he can.

Sean Tan

Sean Tan is the Group Legal Advisor for Technovator International Limited (HKEx: 1206), and has also held similar positions in other Hong Kong main board listed companies. Prior to that, Sean spent 12 years in private practice where his practice areas included commercial litigation, insolvency, corporate restructurings and turnarounds. Sean is also the President and Co-Founder of the Singapore Fitness Alliance. Sean formerly served on the board of one of the largest fitness and wellness groups in Asia.

Janice Gan

Janice Gan is Vice President, Legal for IHG across the Asia, Middle East & Africa region. She is responsible for leading the regional legal team, directing legal resources in support of IHG’s business across a diverse geography of nearly 40 countries. Together with previous roles as General Counsel with Accor Asia Pacific and Singapore Tourism Board, Ms Gan has more than 10 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry. Prior to her in-house roles, she was in private practice in various Singapore and international law firms.

Diana Lim

Diana Lim is a painter and art enthusiast. She worked in the creative industry until retirement in 2017. Together with her husband and daughters, she supports young artists with seed funds and collects modern contemporary artworks from across Asia. She aspires to encourage others to be interested in art. She also believes that giving back to society is essential. She is thrilled to be accepted as a board member of The Smile Mission and hopes to contribute actively on medical missions.
